Kimberly and I spent a lot of time driving around the town of Frederick, Maryland looking for the perfect subjects to paint and photograph. One evening, I stepped outside our host housing and saw the way the light played through the trees on the side of the barn and immediately set up to capture the scene. This turned out to be my favorite piece from the entire Easels in Frederick event. It went on to win the Best Use of Light Award and the Artist's Choice Award. |
