The morning light was spectacular throughout Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA. After an hour of searching for the perfect place to paint, I settled on this scene of the light streaming through the fence and across the river beyond. An hour later, I realized the tomb of President John Tyler was directly behind me. This piece was featured in the Oil Painters of America's 2019 Eastern Regional Exhibition. |
