Plein Air Easton can be an exhausting event, not just from the pace, but the heat and humidity. I was relieved to find this perfect scene in the shade of a barn. I spent the afternoon painting this classic 1959 Farmall Tractor with our host family's dog Scout at my feet. I was honored to receive the 2016 Plein Air Easton Life On the Farm Award for this piece from judge Tim Newton. This painting is also featured in the 2018 June/July issue of Plein Air Magazine, as part of a feature article on my journey as a plein air painter. |
